Overview
VirutalShield is fully compatible with all modern computers, tablets, and mobile devices. We'll also be adding support for even more devices soon. Simply choose a device below for more details.
However, there are a few platforms that are too old to run our Official desktop/mobile application. In this case we recommend installing our Legacy application instead. Use this page to figure out if your device is supported or not.

VirtualShield for Windows
Our Windows desktop application is supported on Microsoft Windows 7 or later. This includes Windows 8, 8.1, 10, and the new Windows 11. If you can download and install other apps on your computer, then it is likely you can install VirtualShield as well.
The Legacy Windows application is also supported on Microsoft Windows 7 or later. That means there is no reason to continue using this version, you will be able to upgrade to the latest version without any issues. In most cases the update will take place automatically, without any interruption.
Service Pack 1 is required on Windows 7 systems. Learn how to upgrade here.

How to determine which version of Windows you're using:
Open the Start menu near the corner of your screen.
You can also press the Windows keyon your keyboard.
Inside the search box, type winver and then press the Enter key.
A window will appear with information about your Windows Operating System, including the version and revision number.

VirtualShield for macOS
Our macOS desktop application is supported on macOS X 10.14 (Mojave) or later. This includes macOS 11 (Big Sur), and the new macOS 12 (Monterey). If you can download and install other apps on your computer, then it is likely you can install VirtualShield as well.
The Legacy macOS application is supported on macOS X 10.11 (El Capitan) or later. If you can't upgrade to OS X 10.14 on your Mac, you can try installing this version instead. However, we recommend upgrading your Operating System to be fully protected against the latest threats.

From the Apple menu near the corner of your screen, choose About This Mac.
A window will appear with information about your macOS Operating System, including the version and revision number.

VirtualShield for iOS
Our iOS mobile application is supported on Apple iOS 13.0 or later. This includes iOS 14, and the new iOS 15. If you can download and install other apps from the Apple Store, then it is likely you can install VirtualShield as well.
Apple TV and Apple Watch is not supported at this time.

How to determine which version of iOS you're using:
Open your Settings app. It looks like a cog/gear shaped icon.
Navigate to General > About from the list of options.
You can also ask Siri to open your phone's About screen.
A screen will appear with information about your iOS Operating System, including the version and revision number.

VirtualShield for Android
Our Android mobile application is supported on Google Android 7.0 or later. This includes Android 8, 9, 10, 11, and the new Android 12. If you can download and install other apps from the Google Play Store, then it is likely you can install VirtualShield as well.
The Legacy Android application is supported on Google Android 4.2.1 or later. If you can't upgrade to Android 6 on your phone/tablet, you can try installing this version instead. However, we recommend upgrading your Operating System to be fully protected against the latest threats.

How to determine which version of Android you're using:
Open your Settings app. It looks like a cog/gear or a wrench shaped icon.
Navigate to System > Advanced > System update from the list of options.
If you don't see the Advanced option, tap About phone.
A screen will appear with information about your Android Operating System, including the version and revision number.

Linux app (Coming soon)
Our new Linux app is not yet available, but it will be coming soon to both Debian and Arch based platforms. Don't hesitate to contact us and we'll be more than happy to notify you via email when the new Linux app is available for download.
In the meanwhile, you can install our Legacy Linux application instead. That will allow you to stay protected until the new version of our Linux app becomes available.
The Legacy Linux application is only compatible with Debian-based systems at this time.

How to determine which version of Linux you're using:
Navigate to Applications > Accessories > Terminal to open your Linux Terminal.
You can also press Ctrl + Alt + T on your keyboard.
Type or paste the command below into the Terminal, then press the Enter key:
lsb_release -a
To paste into the Terminal, press Ctrl + Shift + V on your keyboard.
Your version number will be shown on the Description line.

Common Questions
My device is not listed above, what can I do?
If your device is not listed, don't worry. VirtualShield will be coming to more devices very soon, including Linux, Android TV, Amazon Fire Stick and more. In the meanwhile, you can install our Legacy app instead.
My device is too old to run the app, what can I do?
If your device is incompatible, it is likely you can run our Legacy app instead. However, we recommend upgrading your system to be fully protected against the latest threats.
I own an iPhone 7, does that mean I can't run the app?
No, the Apple iOS version is different from the iPhone/iPad version. As long as you're using iOS 13.0 or later, then our app will be fully compatible. See our support article for more info on how to check your iOS version.
