Overview
Yes, you can! Google Chromebook, Pixelbook and Pixel Slate tablets run the Chrome OS Operating System. Similar to phones and tablets, you can install Android apps by visiting the Google Play Store.
Most Chrome OS devices support Android apps right out-of-the box. Others may need to be updated first in order to access Google Play.

Which version do I choose?
If you can access the Google Play Store and install other apps on your Chromebook, then it is likely you can install VirtualShield as well:
For older devices, or if you have trouble accessing the Google Play Store, follow the instructions below to update Chrome OS and activate Google Play on your device.
The Google Play Store is available for only some Chromebooks. If you can't access Google Play, your device may be incompatible.
Update Chrome OS version
First, make sure your device is fully updated and running the latest Chrome OS version. Our app is compatible with Chrome OS version 79 and above.
To check, select the clock near the corner of your screen to open the Status area, then click the Settings cog.
You can also open the Settings by pressing Alt + Shift + S on your keyboard.
Select About Chrome OS on the left-hand side of this screen.
In the About window, click Check for updates. If there's an update available, it will begin to download and install.
Turn on Google Play Store
Once your Chromebook is updated, you might need to activate Google Play before you can install Android apps and games on your device.
After checking for updates, return to the Status area and click the Settings cog again.
Select Google Play Store on the left-hand side of this screen. If you don't see this option, it might be labeled Apps.
Find the option labeled Install apps and games from Google Play on your Chromebook, and then select Turn on.
You will be prompted to agree to Google's Terms of Service. Select I Agree to continue.
That's it! You will be now able to install our Android app on your Chromebook, along with other apps from the Google Play Store:
