VirtualShield is proud to announce our brand new website and new apps for all devices. We've completely redesigned our new platform from the ground up using a faster, more secure VPN technology.
On some devices the the upgrade will take place automatically. On others, you may need to install the new version yourself. This article will help you migrate to the the new platform on all of your various devices.
Windows
Our Windows desktop application has a new look & feel and a new icon, but it still works in a very similar way. It's as simple as signing in to your account, then pressing the power button. That's it!
How to Upgrade
On desktop and laptop computers you may not receive an update, so you will need to manually install the new version from our website.
Start by uninstalling the older/legacy version of the app first, before you attempt to install the new version.

Visit our Windows Download Page, or use the link below to download the installation file to your computer:
Microsoft Windows 7 or later is required. See our support article for more information.
Open the VirtualShieldSetup.exe file you just downloaded to launch the installer. This file should be located in your Downloads folder.
That's it! You can now open the VirtualShield application from the icon on your Desktop, and log in to connect to our secure network.

macOS

iOS
Our iOS mobile application has a new look & feel and a new icon, but it still works in a very similar way. It's as simple as signing in to your account, then pressing the power button. That's it!
How to Upgrade
In most cases, the upgrade will take place automatically as soon as a new version becomes available. Alternatively, you can check for updates manually by opening your App Settings.
If you have a slow internet connection or your device runs on battery power, you can also uninstall and re-install the latest version of the iOS app from the Apple Store.
Open the App Store app, then tap your profile icon at the top of the screen.
Apple iOS 13.0 or later is required. See our support article for more information.
Scroll down and find VirtualShield in the list of installed apps, then tap Update.
Once the update is complete, we recommend restarting your device one time to ensure everything goes smoothly.
That's it! You can now open the VirtualShield app from the icon on your Home screen, and log in to connect to our secure network.

How to Upgrade

If you have a slow internet connection or your device runs on battery power, you can also uninstall and re-install the latest version of the Android app from the Google Play Store.
You may see a notification on your screen that looks similar to the one below. Simply press the Update button to start the installation.

Once the update is complete, it is likely you will have two different VirtualShield apps installed at the same time. Check if you can see two shield icons on your Home screen, or in your App drawer.
If you do, we recommend uninstalling the older/legacy version of the app first, before you attempt to log in and connect to the new platform.

My device is not listed above, what can I do?
If your device is not listed, don't worry. VirtualShield will be coming to more devices very soon, including Android TV, Amazon Fire Stick/Fire TV and more.
My device is too old to run the app, what can I do?
If your device is incompatible, we strongly recommend upgrading your system in order to be fully protected against the latest threats.
