Additionally, many apps will ask for permission to access the files, photos, contacts, settings, and other information on your device. By allowing access, these apps could be selling your information to 
third-parties without your consent. When you

How does it work?
It works by scouring the internet for data brokers who collect and trade your personal information without you knowing. We identify any instances of your personal data, then we begin submitting opt-out requests to the relevant websites to have your information permanently deleted.
We monitor billions of data points, including the dark web and public court records. We will find every last one of these data brokers and make sure that all of your information, from your name, address, phone number, SSN number, medical data, and shopping habits remains 
completely private.

Using this tool couldn’t be easier. Once active, you can manage everything from your Account Dashboard. There’s 
nothing to download. This service works on any device with an internet connection.
Here are a few instructions to get you going:
Start by visiting your Account Dashboard. Select Data Removal from the navigation menu, or use the link below:
If you do not have a
Press the Start button to activate your protection, if you have not done so already.

Once active, exposed records will appear in the Exposed tab. They will immediately be transferred to the In Progress section once an opt-out request has been submitted.
In most situations we’ll take care of everything. Visit your
Some brokers require email verification and additional steps before they will remove your personal information. These records will appear in the Action Required category.
By authorizing your email we can interact with these data brokers and complete these steps on your behalf.
If we are unable to opt-out of these sites on your behalf, we will provide additional steps so you can complete the verification process yourself.
After completing these steps, select Mark As Done. Once these sites have accepted your request your records will be moved to the Complete category.
That’s it! If there are no records In Progress, it means you are protected. You can view completed records in the Complete tab.
