This article will instruct you on how to install and uninstall VirtualShield on all of your various desktop and mobile devices. Simply choose your device below to get started.
Our mobile apps can be downloaded directly from the Apple Store or Google Play Store, and our desktop apps can be downloaded from our website using the instructions provided below.

Install the Windows application
How to install VirtualShield on your Windows computer:
Start by visiting our Windows Download Page, or use the link below to download the installation file to your computer:
Microsoft Windows 7 or later is required. See our support article for more information.
Open the VirtualShieldSetup.exe file you just downloaded to launch the installer. This file should be located in your Downloads folder.
To find your Downloads folder, click the Start button near the bottom of your screen, and type "downloads" in the search box.
You may see a prompt asking if you want to allow VirtualShield to make changes to your computer. Click Yes to proceed.
The VirtualShield Setup Wizard will now launch in a new window. Click Install to begin the installation.
The wizard will now complete the installation. Please do not attempt to close the Setup Wizard during this process.
That's it! You can now open the VirtualShield application from the icon on your Desktop, and log in to connect to our secure network.

Offline Windows app Installation
If you experience any issues installing VirtualShield, try our new offline installer instead:
Use the link below to download the installation file to your computer:

Open the VSOfflineSetup.exe file you just downloaded to launch the installer. This file should be located in your Downloads folder.
To find your Downloads folder, click the Start button near the bottom of your screen, and type "downloads" in the search box.

The VirtualShield Setup Wizard will now launch in a new window. Click Install to begin the installation.

That's it! You can now open the VirtualShield application from the icon on your Desktop, and log in to connect to our secure network.

Uninstall the Windows application
How to remove VirtualShield from your Windows computer:
Click the Start button near the bottom of your screen.
You can also press the Windows key on your keyboard.
Navigate to All Apps/Programs > VirtualShield > Uninstall.
If you can't find this option, open your Windows Settings and uninstall VirtualShield from the Apps category.
A message will appear asking if you are sure you want to remove VirtualShield and all components, Choose Yes to continue.
The uninstall process will complete. Please do not attempt to shut down or restart your computer during this process.
That's it! VirtualShield has been uninstalled successfully. You can follow the same steps above to repair or re-install the application on a different device.

How to install VirtualShield on your Mac computer:
Start by visiting our macOS Download Page, or use the link below to download the installation file to your computer:
macOS X 10.14 (Mojave) or later is required. See our support article for more information.
Open the VirtualShield.pkg file you just downloaded to launch the installer. This file should be located in your Downloads folder.
To find your Downloads folder, open Finder (Face icon) in the Dock near the bottom of your screen, and select Downloads from the Favorites pane.
The VirtualShield Install Wizard will now launch in a new window. Click Continue to begin the installation.
You may be prompted to enter your credentials. If so, enter your computer's password, then click Install Software.
The wizard will now complete the installation. Please do not attempt to close the Install Wizard during this process.
That's it! You can now open the VirtualShield application from your Applications list, and log in to connect to our secure network.

Uninstall the macOS application
How to remove VirtualShield from your Mac computer:
Open Finder by clicking the face icon near the bottom of your screen.
You can also press Option + Command + Space on your keyboard.
Select Applications from the Favorites pane on the left-hand side of this window.
Find the VirtualShield application, then Control-click the shield icon and select Move to Trash from the popup menu.
You may be prompted to enter your credentials. If so, enter your computer's password.
That's it! VirtualShield has been uninstalled successfully. You can follow the same steps above to repair or re-install the application on a different device.

How to install VirtualShield on your Apple iPhone/iPad:
Start by visiting our iOS Download Page, or use the link below to download the app from the Apple App Store:
Apple iOS 13.0 or later is required. See our support article for more information.
Tap the blue Get button to begin the installation process. You may be prompted for your Apple ID password.
On some devices, the Get button may look like a cloud shaped icon.
Once the installation is complete, this button will say Open. Tap it to launch the application.
That's it! You can now open the VirtualShield app from the icon on your Home screen, and log in to connect to our secure network.

Uninstall the iOS application
How to remove VirtualShield from your Apple iPhone/iPad:
Open your Settings app. It looks like a cog/gear shaped icon.
If you can't find this icon, ask Siri to open your Settings.
Navigate to General > iPhone/iPad Storage. A list of your installed apps will appear near the bottom of this screen.
Find the VirtualShield app in this list, and then tap Delete App.
You can also press and hold the shield icon on your Home screen, and tap the X near the corner:
That's it! VirtualShield has been uninstalled successfully. You can follow the same steps above to repair or re-install the application on a different device.

Manual Android app Installation
If your device lacks access to the Google Play Store, you can install VirtualShield manually:
Start by visiting this link to download the installation file to your device:
Google Android 7.0 or later is required. See our support article for more information.
Before you can install VirtualShield manually, you will need to make sure that third-party apps are allowed on your device.
- Open your Settings app. It looks like a cog/gear or a wrench shaped icon.
- Tap Security & fingerprint. It may be labeled Lock Screen or Security.
- Turn on the Unknown Sources option to allow your device to install apps from sources other than the Google Play Store.
Android version 8.0 and above works a little differently. Rather than allowing installation from Unknown Sources, you'll be prompted to allow your device to install APKs the first time you attempt to do so.
Find the VirtualShield.apk file in the location where it was downloaded. Tap it, then press the Install button.
That's it! You can now open the VirtualShield app from the icon on your Home screen, and log in to connect to our secure network.

How to remove VirtualShield from your Android phone/tablet:
Open your Settings app. It looks like a cog/gear or a wrench shaped icon.
If you can't find this icon, ask Google to open your Settings.
Select Apps & notifications from the list of available options.
It may be labeled Applications or Installed Apps, depending on the make and model of your device.
Find the VirtualShield app, then tap it to open the App info screen.
Tap the Uninstall button. A message will appear asking if you want to uninstall the application. Choose OK to continue.
You can also press and hold the shield icon on your Home screen, and choose Uninstall from the popup menu:
That's it! VirtualShield has been uninstalled successfully. You can follow the same steps above to repair or re-install the application on a different device.

Common Questions
My device is not listed above, what can I do?
If your device is not listed, don't worry. VirtualShield will be coming to more devices very soon, including Android TV, Amazon Fire Stick/Fire TV and more.
My device is too old to run the app, what can I do?
If your device is incompatible, we strongly recommend upgrading your Operating System in order to be fully protected against the latest threats.
I own an iPhone 7, does that mean I can't run the app?
No, the Apple iOS version is different from the iPhone/iPad version. As long as you're using iOS 13.0 or later, then our app will be fully compatible. See our support article for more info on how to check your iOS version.
