Changing your Email Address

Overview

Your primary email address is used to access your online Account Dashboard on our website. It is also used to log in and connect to our secure VPN network on all of your various devices.

If your credentials end up in the wrong hands, they can lock you out of your account and gain access to your personal information. You could also be giving others access to your other accounts without even knowing it.


Changing your Email Address

That’s why it is so important to use a strong password, and never share your credentials with anyone. To safely share VPN Protection with friends & family, you can add additional users to your account.

You can change your email address at any time if you feel it’s been compromised, or if you no longer have access to your previous email account.

Changing your email address is very easy, simply follow the instructions below. If you don’t know your password, you will need to Reset your Password first.

How to Change your VirtualShield Email Address:

Start by visiting your Account Dashboard. Select Settings from the navigation menu, or use the link below:

If you forgot your password, you can use this link to reset your password. See our support article for more information.

Select Change Email on the right side of your screen.

A popup message will appear, prompting you to enter a new email address.

You will receive a confirmation email, so you can verify the address belongs to you.

Check your inbox for the confirmation email to verify your new email address. Once you verify your email it will be automatically updated in your account.

You may need to log out and log back in to the VirtualShield app on your device(s) using your new email address.

Common Questions

My email address is not working, what can I do?
Before you attempt to change your email address, try to Reset your Password first. If that doesn’t work, contact our support team for further assistance.
I still can’t access my account, what now?
Contact our support team and we will send a new system-generated password, once you have verified you are the account owner. Alternatively, you can schedule a call and our phone support representatives can help you change your email and password securely.
