Overview
You can customize the app to open automatically each time you power on or restart your device. This helps ensure that your device remains protected, and you don't have to open it every time you want to perform a Quick/Deep/Custom Scan.
This option is enabled by default on desktop and laptop computers. On mobile devices, you may need to toggle it on manually. Alternatively you can disable this option if you would prefer to open the app yourself.
Windows
When you close or hide VirtualShield Antivirus, it will continue protecting you in the background, allowing you to surf the web and use your computer or tablet just as you would normally.
You can also customize the app to open automatically each time you power on or restart your device. If you've unlocked the app, you will be taken directly to the Home/Status screen.
If used in combination with Active Protection, your device will remain protected against threats at all times.

How to open the Antivirus automatically on your Windows computer:
Open VirtualShield Antivirus and unlock the full version, if you have not done so already.

Click the gear icon on the sidebar to customize your App Settings.
Toggle the Run at system startup option on or off, then click Apply to save your changes.
macOS

How to open the Antivirus automatically on your Android phone/tablet:
Open your Settings app. It looks like a gear or a
wrench shaped icon.
If you can't find this icon, askGoogle to open your Settings.
Select Apps & notifications from the list of available options.
It may be labeled Applications or Installed Apps, depending on the make and model of your device.
Find the VirtualShield Antivirus app, then choose Permissions.
Turn on the Auto-start option to add the app to your list of Startup apps.
If you can't find this option, it might be labeled Autorun or Open on Startup.
Common Questions
I don't see the icon in my Windows Taskbar, what can I do?
Try clicking theup arrow next to your clock to Show hidden icons. You can also drag the
shield icon and move it next to your clock for quick & easy access. See our support article for more information.
I don't see the icon in my Mac Toolbar, what can I do?
Look for the app inside ofFinder > Applications. If you still can't find it, try installing the latest version of the application from our website.
