In most cases, VirtualShield Antivirus will update automatically as soon as a new version becomes available. Alternatively, you can check for updates manually by opening the Updates screen.

The same way you check for app updates, you can check for virus threat definition updates to ensure your device is fully up-to-date and secure against new forms of malware.

If you have a slow/weak internet connection or if your device runs on battery, you can also uninstall and re-install the latest version of the Windows app from our website.

How to check for App Updates on your Windows computer:

Open  VirtualShield Antivirus and unlock the full version, if you have not done so already.

Click the  Updates icon on the Home/Status screen.

Alternatively you can right-click the  shield icon next to your clock, then select Check for updates from the menu.

Your current version will be displayed on this screen. If a new version is available, you can install it by clicking the Check button next to VirtualShield Antivirus Software.


Threat Definition Updates

How to check for Threat Definition Updates on your Windows computer:

Open  VirtualShield Antivirus and unlock the full version, if you have not done so already.

Alternatively you can right-click the  shield icon next to your clock, then select Check for updates from the menu.

Your definition version will be displayed on this screen. If a new version is available, you can install it by clicking the Check button next to Threat Definitions Update.
