How to perform a Quick/Deep/Custom Scan

Overview

As the name suggests, a Quick Scan will swiftly scan the main hard disk/drive on your device. This includes your installed apps, downloaded files, and system directories (such as your Documents).

A Deep scan will perform an extensive scan of your entire system. This includes all of the drives connected to your computer, and external media like a SD cardnetwork drive, or USB/thumb drive.

To swiftly scan for viruses you can perform a Quick Scan, while a Deep Scan will take a deep dive into your entire system. This process may take a while, but you can stop scanning at any time.

A Custom Scan works a little differently. It allows you to scan a specific location for viruses. This process can be fast or slow, depending on the size of drive(s) or folder(s) you are scanning.

Don’t forget you can automate Scheduled Scans to occur on a daily or weekly basis, or enable Active Protection so you do not need to scan your device manually.
