Managing your Quarantined Files

Overview

When a threat is detected by VirtualShield Antivirus, it will be immediately placed into Quarantine. This helps prevent virusestrojansransomware, botnets, rootkits, keyloggers, and other dangerous threats before they can gain access to your data or cause damage to your device.

You can select a specific threat to view more details, and manage exactly how long you would like to keep quarantined files on your device before they are automatically deleted.

Windows

By default, quarantined files will be automatically deleted after 30 days. You can keep these files on your device forever, or specify the length of time before they are deleted.

Infected files and suspicious risks that are known to contain threats in our definition database will be flagged as high risk. We recommend deleting these files from your system immediately.

Other apps and files may appear harmless at first glance, but they can contain hidden adware or malware in disguise. These items will be flagged as low risk.
