Overview
This article will help you determine if you have the latest version of the VirtualShield app installed on your device. It will also teach you how to check for upates and how to upgrade if there is a new version available.
Windows
In most cases, VirtualShield will update automatically as soon as a new version becomes availble. Alternatively, you can check for updates manually by opening your App Settings.
If you have a slow internet connection or your device runs on battery power, you can also uninstall and re-install the latest version of the Windows app from our website.

How to check for updates on your Windows computer:
Open VirtualShield and log in to your account, if you are not logged in already.

Select the App Settings tab to customize your App Settings.
Alternatively you can right-click the shield icon next to your clock, then select App Settings from the menu.
Your current version will be displayed on this screen. If a new version is available, you can download and install it by pressing the button next to the version number.
macOS

Common Questions
Why can't I find this option on my device?
It's possible you are using an older/legacy version of VirtualShield. Please try installing the latest version of the app and see if it solves your issue.
Do I need to update the app to be protected?
No, checking for updates is entirely optional. It is not required in order to be protected. However, we recommend staying fully up-to-date to ensure your device is safe against the latest threats.
