Disabling your Microphone

When you disable your microphone with VirtualShield, all other software on your computer will be prevented from accessing it. This protects your system by automatically muting your microphone each time the volume level increases.

This feature is included with all of our IdentiSafe plans. Currently only available in the Windows/Linux application(s). Coming soon to other devices.

Note: To disable a different audio device, first reset your default audio device from the "Windows Recording Devices" screen.
