Install the macOS Application

This article will guide you through the simple process of downloading and installing VirtualShield on your macOS laptop or desktop computer.

VirtualShield Mac Setup

Follow the instructions below to install VirtualShield on your Mac computer. Once it's installed, it will appear inside of your Applications list, alongside your other apps.

Note: Compatible with OS X version 10.11 (El Capitan) and above. If your system is not supported, you can try installing one of our browser extensions instead.

Visit our macOS Download Page, or click the link below to download the installation file to your computer:

Double-click the VirtualShield.pkg file you just downloaded to launch the installer.
This file should be located in your Downloads folder.

Tip: To find your Downloads folder, open Finder (Face icon) in the Dock near the bottom of your screen, and select Downloads from the Favorites pane on the left-hand side.
The VirtualShield Install Wizard will now launch in a new window.
Click Continue to begin the installation:
It will now ask for the destination where you would like to install VirtualShield.
Unless you have a specific reason, do not change the location. Simply click Install:
You may be prompted to enter your credentials. If so, enter your computer's password, then click Install Software:
The wizard will now complete the installation.
Please do not attempt to close the Install Wizard during this process:
That's it! You can now open the VirtualShield application from your Applications list, and log in to connect to our secure network:
