In-App Purchase Subscriptions (Apple iOS)

VirtualShield offers all Individual and Family plans through in-app purchases. You can purchase any of these plans on a monthly, semi-annually, or yearly basis.

App Store Subscriptions

If you originally purchased your VirtualShield subscription from the iTunes App Store, you may not be able to cancel your account the normal way, from your Account Dashboard.

Follow the instructions below to cancel your VirtualShield subscription from iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch:

Open your device's Settings app. It looks like a cog/gear shaped icon:

Scroll down and tap iTunes Store & App Store.

Select your Apple ID, then tap View Apple ID.

Note: You might be prompted to enter your Apple ID password.

In the Subscriptions section tap Manage, then select VirtualShield.

Turn off Automatic Renewal to cancel your subscription.
Your subscription will stop at the end of the current billing cycle:
Tip: Uninstalling the VirtualShield app does not cancel your subscription.

Follow the instructions below to cancel your VirtualShield subscription using the iTunes App on your Mac computer:

Open the iTunes app on your computer:

Click Sign In, and then enter your Apple ID.

Select your name, and select Account Info from the drop-down menu.

Note: You might be prompted to enter your Apple ID password.

On the Account Information screen, scroll to the Settings section.

In the Subscriptions section click Manage, then select VirtualShield.

Turn off Automatic Renewal to cancel your subscription.
Your subscription will stop at the end of the current billing cycle:
Tip: Cancelling your subscription does not refund any previous payments.

How do I request a refund for my subscription purchased from the App Store?

For subscriptions that have been purchased In-App, you will need to request refunds directly from Apple. Consult with Apple Support for more information.

Note: This applies to all In-App purchases, it does not relate to VirtualShield in particular.

I purchased my yearly VirtualShield subscription from the App Store, and I’d like to change to a monthly subscription. How do I do that?

To switch to a monthly subscription, you need to cancel your current annual subscription first.

At the end of your billing cycle, you can downgrade to a monthly subscription through an In-App purchase. Alternatively, you can upgrade from your Account Dashboard.

Tip: Your monthly subscription will begin at the end of the current billing cycle.

I purchased my VirtualShield subscription from the App Store, but I’d like to change to a subscription directly from VirtualShield. How do I do that?

To switch to billing through VirtualShield, cancel your current App Store subscription and wait for the subscription to expire.

Once your App Store subscription is expired, login and upgrade from your Account Dashboard.
