How to enable/disable the Sticky notification

On Android phones and tablets, you will see a "key" shaped icon near the top of your screen to indicate when the VPN connection is active.

On some devices you will also see a shield icon, and a message in your Notification area.
Swipe down from the top of your screen to open your Notification area. Our Sticky notification should appear here:

Note: This notification just displays some basic information about your connection, such as the total duration and the data transfer rate.

You can disable this notification at any time if you want to preserve power or battery life. Follow the instructions below:

Open the VirtualShield Android application.

Tap the cog/gear icon near the corner of the app to open the Settings panel:
Inside the Settings, select Advanced Settings.

Select the Sticky notification option, and then save your Settings:
Tip: You can also disable this notification from your device's Settings, under Apps & Notifications > VirtualShield > Notifications.
