How do I enable/disable the app notification?

On Android phones and tablets, you will see a "key" shaped icon near the top of your screen to indicate when the VPN connection is active.

Live App Notification

On some devices you may also see a shield icon, and a message in your Notification area.
Swipe down from the top of your screen to open your Notification area. Our app notification should appear here:

Note: This notification just displays some basic information about your connection, such as the total duration and the data transfer rate.

You can enable or disable this notification from your device's Settings app if you want to preserve power or battery life. Follow the instructions below:

Open your device's Settings app. It looks like a cog/gear or a wrench shaped icon:
Navigate to Apps & Notifications > VirtualShield > Notifications.

Tap Show notifications:
Tip: On Android 8.0 or later, you can simply press and hold your finger on the notification.
A cog/gear shaped icon will appear. You can also enable or disable the app notification from here.
