Install the Firefox Extension

This article will instruct you on how to download and install the VirtualShield extension for your Mozilla Firefox browser.

It doesn't matter which device you're using. This tutorial works with Firefox on all of your various devices, Windows, Mac, Linux, and more.

VirtualShield Firefox Setup

Follow the instructions below to install our Mozilla Firefox browser extension. Once it's installed, it will appear near the corner of your browser, alongside your other extensions.

Note: If you already have our Windows, macOS, or Linux app installed, you do not need this extension. The desktop application will protect all of your browsers, including Firefox.

Open Firefox, and then click this link to begin the installation process:

Tip: Open this link inside of Firefox, or copy and paste the link into your Firefox browser.
You will see a Click Here to Install button on this page. Click Install to continue:
A message will appear, asking you to confirm the installation.
Click the Allow/Continue button to proceed:
Finally, click the Add button to complete the installation:
That's it! VirtualShield is now added to your Firefox browser.
You can access it using the shield icon near the right-hand side of your Address bar:
