Install the Firefox Extension

This article will instruct you on how to download and install the VirtualShield extension for your Mozilla Firefox browser.
This tutorial works with Firefox on Windows, Mac, Linux, and more.
Note: If you already have our Windows or macOS app installed and working, you do not need this extension. The desktop application will protect all of your browsers, including Firefox.

VirtualShield Firefox Setup

Follow the instructions below to install our Mozilla Firefox browser extension. Once it's installed, it will appear near the corner of your browser, alongside your other extensions.

Note: If you don't have the Mozilla Firefox browser, download and install it from Mozilla's website:
Open Firefox, and then click this link to begin the installation process:

Tip: Open this link inside of Firefox, or copy and paste the link into your Firefox browser.
You will see an Install button on this page. Click Install to continue:
A message will appear, asking you to confirm the installation.
Click the Allow/Continue button to proceed:
Next, click the Add button to complete the installation:
That's it! VirtualShield is now added to your Firefox browser.
You can access it using the shield icon near the right-hand side of your address bar:
