Which version of VirtualShield should I choose?

There are two different versions of VirtualShield available, our desktop/mobile applications and our Chrome/Firefox/Opera extensions. The version you choose to install is entirely up to you.

The application will protect and encrypt your entire internet connection. This includes all of the software on your device, such as games, web browsers, e-mail, and any other third-party applications that connect to the web.

All of your browsers will be protected by the app. The extensions will only protect what's inside of your browser. For example, the Google Chrome extension will not protect Mozilla Firefox.
The extensions will not protect the other software running on your device like the app does.

The desktop/mobile application also includes additional customization options and configuration settings you can adjust to suit your specific needs.

Which version should I choose?

As long as you're running Windows 7 or later, or macOS X 10.11 or later on your computer, the desktop app is recommended.
The extensions were mostly designed for older computers and Operating Systems, such as Windows XP and Vista.

If you're using a mobile device, our Android app is compatible with Android 4.2.1 and above. Our iOS app is compatible with Apple iOS 9.0 and above.

You can download all of our apps and extensions for all of your various devices here:
