Internet kill-switch (Windows)

The VirtualShield Windows application includes a new Internet kill-switch option that will block all network traffic if you lose VPN connection.

Internet kill-switch

In case the VPN unexpectedly disconnects, kill-switch stops your computer from accessing the internet. Once you are re-connected to the VPN server location, your internet traffic will be restored automatically.

This helps protect your system by preventing any data from leaking across your regular network without your knowledge.

Note: This feature is entirely optional and can be enabled or disabled at any time.
Open the VirtualShield Windows application.

Click the cog/gear icon near the corner of the app to open the Settings panel:
Inside the General Settings, select the Internet kill-switch option:
Click the Save button to save your Settings.

Tip: If used in combination with the IPv6 leak protection option, your public data will be fully protected against any type of leaks.
