Install the Opera Extension

This article will instruct you on how to download and install the VirtualShield extension for your Opera browser.

It doesn't matter which device you're using. This tutorial works with Opera on all of your various devices, Windows, Mac, Linux, and more.

VirtualShield Opera Setup

Follow the instructions below to install our Opera browser extension. Once it's installed, it will appear near the corner of your browser, alongside your other extensions.

Note: If you already have our Windows, macOS, or Linux app installed, you do not need this extension. The desktop application will protect all of your browsers, including Opera.

Open Opera, and then click this link to begin the installation process:

Tip: Open this link inside of Opera, or copy and paste the link into your Opera browser.
You will now see a screen that looks similar to the image below.
Click the Add to Opera button:
This button will say Installed once the installation is complete:
That's it! VirtualShield is now added to your Opera browser.
You can access it using the shield icon near the right-hand side of your Address bar:
